How do I find the correct paint code for my vehicle?
How do I find the correct paint code for my vehicle?
Most vehicles have a paint code displayed on a label or plate—typically found in areas such as the door jamb, under the bonnet, or inside the boot. If you're unsure where to look, please visit our Paint Code Locator page for detailed guidance on finding the code specific to your vehicle. Alternatively, you can consult your vehicle’s manual or contact the manufacturer.
What is an OEM Code?
What is an OEM Code?
An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) code is a unique combination of letters and/or numbers used to identify a specific paint formulation. This code is entered into a formulation system, which then retrieves the precise paint mix required for the corresponding vehicle.
Can I use my registration number to find my paint code?

Will my registration number provide the colour of trims or alloys?
Will my registration number provide the colour of trims or alloys?
Unfortunately, our paint system only provides the body colour of the vehicle based on the registration number. It does not include information for trims, wheels, or alloy finishes. If you require paint for these components, we recommend contacting the vehicle manufacturer directly to obtain the specific paint code. Once you have this, we can check whether it is available in our system.
Do you offer paint for motorcycles, motorhomes, or custom vehicles?
Do you offer paint for motorcycles, motorhomes, or custom vehicles?
Unfortunately, paint code colour data is not readily available for motorcycles, motorhomes, or custom vehicles. As a result, we are unable to guarantee an exact colour match for these types of vehicles. If you have a verified OEM code or specific paint code, feel free to contact us, and we’ll do our best to assist.
What if there’s an issue with my registration or paint code?
What if there’s an issue with my registration or paint code?
Occasionally, your registration number may not be captured correctly during checkout, or the paint code may not appear in our system. In either case, we’ll contact you promptly to request the necessary information. Please note that we’re unable to proceed with mixing or dispatching your order until we have the correct paint code, as it’s essential for ensuring an accurate colour match.
What if my vehicle has been resprayed a different colour?
What if my vehicle has been resprayed a different colour?
If your vehicle has been resprayed and no longer matches the original factory colour, we may not be able to identify the correct paint code through our standard system. If you already know the paint code used during the respray, please provide it and we’ll check if it’s available in our database. Unfortunately, without a valid paint code, we’re unable to guarantee a match to the current colour of your vehicle.

Remove any dirt, grease, or debris from the surface using a suitable cleaner. Ensure the area is completely dry before proceeding. - Prepare the surface
Lightly sand any rough edges or rust spots if necessary. Mask off surrounding areas to avoid overspray or accidental marks. - Apply the paint in thin layers
Shake the product well before use. Apply the paint gradually in light, even coats. Avoid heavy application to prevent runs or uneven texture. - Allow each layer to dry

Wear protective gloves and a mask if needed. Keep products away from heat sources and out of reach of children.

Primer is recommended for bare metal or plastic surfaces to ensure proper adhesion. Lacquer provides a protective top coat and enhances gloss. Depending on your repair, both may be necessary.

Do I need to use a thinner with my paint?
In some cases—particularly when using paint from tins or applying with a spray gun—you may need to thin the paint for optimal flow and coverage. We recommend using a standard automotive thinner at a 1:1 ratio (equal parts paint and thinner). Always follow product-specific guidance and test the mixture before full application to ensure compatibility and finish quality.
